Osaka… A cute little city that makes my heart flutter 💗 Sometimes… The destination doesn’t have to be big. Just a little happiness spreads everywhere you pass by. And “Osaka” is that kind of city. For this trip, we set off with an empty heart, not expecting much. Just hoping to see something cute along the way. And what we got back were so many cute memories that we wanted to put them in a box and take them home. 💕 ⸻ 🌸 Episode 1: Finally… Osaka, which is always waiting for us. As soon as we got off the plane, the slight coolness of the air welcomed us. Even though we were tired from the journey, the second we stepped foot on Japanese soil, our hearts felt a little faster. Osaka… We’ve been secretly missing you for a long time. The Nankai Rapid train from the airport entered the city quickly and quietly. Looking out the window, we saw a small city passing by, with sunlight streaming through the clouds, just the right amount of warmth. The feeling at that time was like the opening scene in a feel-good movie. ☁️🚃 ⸻ 🍢 Episode 2: Kuromon Market… Exploring the Land of Dream Food Let me tell you, “Kuromon Ichiba” is a paradise for foodies like us! This is a small street with all kinds of food on both sides, from grilled crab legs, butter scallops, fresh sushi, takoyaki, to premium fruits ✨ The famous takoyaki shop is really amazing. It smells so good, the dough is soft on the outside, crispy on the inside, full of squid, topped with hot sauce. It’s so good that you almost want to queue again. The giant crab legs are freshly grilled, sweet and bouncy meat, natural flavor without having to dip anything. We stood in front of the shop smiling so widely that our eyes closed. The vendor smiled back in a very kind manner. We walked on and found a shop selling grilled sweet eggs on skewers. The taste was so smooth and soft like we were sitting in a manga. And then we finished with rich green tea ice cream that went perfectly with the cool weather. 🍦 ⸻ 🏯 Episode 3: Osaka Castle – A Poem Written in Sunlight After eating until our eyes were closing, we continued walking to Osaka Castle. It was more beautiful, peaceful, and warm than we thought. The white, green, and gold castle stood tall in the middle of a large park, surrounded by trees that were changing colors. There were children running around, and soft laughter wafted in the wind. We sat looking at the moat reflecting the castle, and felt like time had stopped for a moment. 🕊️ The view from the top was amazing, with a panoramic view of the entire city. My favorite angle was when the sunlight filtered through the trees, and the light hit the castle just right. It was like someone had secretly applied a warm filter. 🌞 ⸻ 🧁 Episode 4: A hidden cafe in a deep alley…a small world of the heart After walking until our legs started to get tired, we sneaked into an alley near Shinsaibashi. We found a cute cafe that seemed to have come out of a dream. In front of the shop, there was an old bicycle leaning against it, and a wooden sign with the word “open” written in shaky handwriting. Inside, there was warm orange light, soft 90s Japanese music playing, and the smell of freshly baked cakes filled the air. We ordered a latte with a 3D bear sleeping on foam milk. With a yuzu cheesecake as soft as a cloud Sitting outside watching the light rain and writing a postcard to myself “Thank you for not hesitating to travel.” 💌 ⸻ 🐟 Episode 5: The underwater world at Kaiyukan – Gentleness without a sound Another place that you must not miss is the Kaiyukan Aquarium. We felt like a child again when we saw a large whale shark floating in front of us. The glass tank as high as a building made us feel like we were in the ocean. There were sea otters hugging rocks, penguins walking around in circles, and rays that seemed to fly in the water. The silence here made us hear our inner voices more clearly. It was a warm and peaceful moment. It was like the world had stopped spinning so that we could rest for a bit. 🫧 ⸻ 🌃 Episode 6: Dotombori’s colorful lights… a cute chaos Osaka at night has a different charm. Dotonbori is a place full of lights, restaurants, people walking and fragrant smells all the way. We proudly took a picture with the Glico sign and did our usual poses. We ate ramen at a famous ramen shop with private booths and sipped the soup until we had to wipe away tears. Then we stopped by an old toy shop that had a lot of authentic Japanese knickknacks. We walked and saw someone playing an electric fiddle under the bridge. People stopped to listen in a circle. A grandmother handed out tissues with a smile. At that time, I just thought, "Osaka is such a kind city." 🧡 ⸻ 🧸 Episode 7: Getting lost is finding happiness On the last day of our trip, we didn't plan anything. We just took the train and got off at random stations and followed our own hearts. We found a second-hand market selling old Japanese books, a shop selling wooden stamps, pastel-colored teacups and a quiet shop selling old Japanese sweets. When we picked up our camera to take a picture, the staff smiled and nodded. That smile is the best souvenir from Osaka. ⸻ 🎀 Conclusion: Osaka...a city where we don't just travel, but we "get to know". Osaka is not a city that you have to rush to visit, don't have to fight to take pictures. But it is a city that invites us to walk slowly, look slowly, and love slowly. On this trip, we didn't go to every place, didn't do everything. But we felt more full than ever before.
