Reasons to go to Ouro Preto in Minas Gerais

I never knew I HAD to go to Ouro Preto till I went to Ouro Preto. The city is completely amazing, is like going back in time and learning a lot about how Brazil is rich in arts, architecture and culture. I would recommend to stay at least 3-4 days, I stayed at “Casa dos meninos”, a house builded aroubd the 18th century, if I recall correctly, with 4 floors but separated rooms. If you have the chance, go to every church and listen to the group guides that pass trough you, each and every one of them has a different vision of history and will give you a complete history class about the places.
