Paroikia and Frankish Castle 🏰

Parikia is situated on a small hill overlooking the port of Paros, we absolutely loved strolling the labyrinth like narrow painted alleyways. Paroikia is charming old town with its historic ruins, churches and picturesque corners. 🐈 🌺 Frankish Castle was built in the 1200s by the Venetian Sanoudo family on the site of the ancient acropolis in Paroikia, capital of Paros island. It’s not a real castle in Parikia of Paros, it’s named “kastro” (meaning castle) where there are some ancient walls and remains of a tower that used to be part of the castle.
