Here's what I experienced and a few extra recommendations: 🏰 Royal Palace * Built in 1866, home to Cambodian kings. * A beautiful example of Khmer architecture. * Entry: $10 * I just viewed it from outside. 🏛️ National Museum of Cambodia * Traditional temple-like building with cultural artifacts and religious objects. * Entry: $10 * I didn’t go inside as it wasn’t my area of interest. 🗼 Independence Monument * Built in 1958 to celebrate Cambodia’s independence from France. * A 20-meter tall lotus-shaped tower, iconic in the city. 🩸 Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21 Prison) * Former Khmer Rouge prison and torture center, now a genocide memorial. * Entry: $5 * Audio guide (optional): +$5 * Deeply moving and heavy experience.
