Dinh Cau Temple

Dinh Cau Temple is a sacred shrine located on a rocky outcrop in the sea in Duong Dong town, Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam. It was built to honor the Goddess of the Sea, as fishing is the main occupation of the people of Phu Quoc. Before heading out to sea, locals often come here to pray for blessings. This temple, which is over 300 years old, is situated on a cliff that extends into the sea, offering stunning views of the coastline. Although the temple is not very large, it is an ideal spot to watch the sunset in the evening. The site is dedicated to the worship of Lord Ngoc Nuong Nong, Uncle Quy, and Uncle Tai, deities who govern rivers, seas, and sacred islands. Especially during spring, tourists visit this place to seek blessings.
