World Heritage - Leaning Tower of Pisa

The Leaning Tower of Pisa (Italian: Torre pendente di Pisa or Torre di Pisa) is a tall tower located in the northern part of the city of Pisa, in the Tuscany region of Italy. It is part of a complex of buildings that includes the cathedral, the baptistery, and the cemetery, all of which had a significant influence on Italian architectural art from the 11th to the 14th centuries. As a result, it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climbing to the top of the tower requires some effort, and the topmost level is very narrow, allowing only one person to go up or down at a time. Since the top is only surrounded by a wire mesh, it can feel a bit unstable.
