This time I want to recommend #Porto, the second largest city in Portugal. This charming port city with both history and modernity is neither too big nor too small. If you like in-depth travel, you can slow down and walk and play slowly. If you want to concentrate on experiencing this city quickly, then remember to save this article first. / Two-day walking route / 🟣Day1: Breakfast: Majestic Café > Armas Church > Central Market Mercado do Bolhão > Shopping at R. de Passos Manuel > Lunch: Café Santiago > Church of San Ildefonso > Porto São Bento Station > Dom Luís I Bridge > Porto Cathedral > Caves Cálem Winery > Dinner: Restaurante Cantina 32 If you come to Porto, why not start your day at Majestic Café! This cafe is located in the city center and is recommended by many people as a must-visit place. Not only does it have a retro vibe, but it also has super delicious coffee. However, because it is so popular, it is recommended to go early, otherwise you may have to wait in line for a long time! Afterwards, you can walk to the Iglesia de Armas. The most special feature of this church is the blue and white tiles on the exterior wall, which depict the faith stories and history of Portugal. It is worth taking some time to appreciate it slowly. After leaving the church, don’t miss the nearby central market, Mercado do Bolhão, which has a strong local flavor and sells fresh agricultural products and traditional snacks. It feels like you are part of the daily life of the Bolhão people. R. de Passos Manuel, this street has many specialty shops and fashion brands, it is super fun to go shopping! For lunch, we went to Café Santiago, a must-try place. It is famous for its classic #Francesinha (a special sandwich made in Porto). The rich sauce and rich layers are mouth-watering. Although simple, it is really delicious! After lunch, we continued our tour. #SantoIldefonsoChurch and Porto São Bento Station are both highly recommended itineraries. The murals in Porto São Bento Station are also art landmarks that cannot be missed. Then you can walk slowly all the way to the Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto) and feel the solemn atmosphere of this ancient church. After leaving the church, cross the Douro River along the Dom Luís I Bridge, which truly combines the beauty of architecture and landscape. Standing on the bridge, you can overlook the magnificent view of the Douro River, and you can also see Ribeira Square and the old town of Porto. This section of the road is especially suitable for walking and taking pictures. To end the day, book a guided tour of the Caves Cálem winery in the evening.
