Visit Nakeli Town, an important stop on the Ancient Tea Horse Road! If you're tired of the crowds, come here to reminisce about the past, listen to the love songs of the horse caravans, and take a walk while sipping tea. You'll find yourself slowing down without even realizing it. "Na" means field, "ke" means bridge, and "li" means good in the Dai language. Together, they mean fertile land, small bridges and flowing water, and an ideal home. ​ ​The town has a high historical value, with well-preserved ruins of the Ancient Tea Horse Road/Nakeli section of the Ancient Tea Horse Road (county-level cultural relics protection), the century-old Rongfa Horse Inn, the Wind and Rain Bridge, and historical relics and artifacts such as horse lanterns and horse drinking troughs used by the horse caravans. It has a long history and a rich culture of the Ancient Tea Horse Road.
