Nanping | Pucheng Xianlou Mountain Park

Xianlou Mountain, with an altitude of 333 meters and an area of 600 merchants, rises from the ground and is located to the east of the county. In the sixth year of the Western Han Dynasty (135 BC), Yu Shan was named the King of Dongyue, and he built a city and a beacon tower on this mountain, and a palace at the foot of the mountain. Later generations called this tower Yuewang Tower, and the mountain was also known as Yuewang Mountain. It is said that during the Song Dynasty, a Taoist priest from Dongjing, Li Taozhen, moved from Wuyi Mountain to this place. Later, in the late Ming Dynasty, Zhang Zeyuan and Du Zuyuan stayed in succession, followed by the talented poets, calligraphers and painters Liu Lin and Huang Zidun. They built the Welcoming Immortal Tower in the 19th year of the Qianlong era of the Qing Dynasty (1754), hence the name Xianlou Mountain.
