Have pancakes whilst seeing pancakes at Punakaiki Pancake rocks

A 40 minute drive north of Greymouth is Punakaiki and its famous pancake rocks. Entering the short forest walks to the cliff top is like walking into some fairy domain. The rocks have been formed by ancient geological processes and are unique. Aside from visiting the rocks stop off at the little cafe by the rocks car park and enjoy fresh pancakes as you listen to not too distant crash of waves against the cliffs, rocks and blowholes. #pancakes #rock formations #punakaiki
