Ocean Spring Resort, a Haven Away From the Hustle and Bustle of Life

Our weekend getaway felt like escaping the city, yet we were still close to it. As the car drove along the coastal road into Aoshan Bay, Jimo, my little one excitedly shouted "Ferris wheel! Castle!" from the car window. This is the [Qingdao Ocean Spring Resort], less than 50 km from the city center. We escaped the hustle and bustle of the city, yet we could still enjoy the sunshine and beaches of the coastline. We entered a European-style castle, our home for the weekend. Opening the balcony door, the humid sea breeze and sunshine greeted us. In the distance, we saw the golden beach and the giant "Star of the Ocean" Ferris wheel. The room was comfortable and cozy, and the simple and bright European style seemed to transport us to the Mediterranean. After a short rest, we went to the hot spring area and water park. Sixty indoor and outdoor hot spring pools with different styles were hidden among the greenery and rockeries. The petal pool was filled with fragrance, and warm springs flowed under the stalactites of the cave pool. As one of only four seawater hot springs in the world, it has a unique "Ocean Bromine Salt Hot Spring," rich in metasilicic acid, salt, sulfur, bromine, arsenic, and more than ten other minerals and elements. The water park has a 68-meter rainbow slide, offering a thrilling experience of "speed and passion." The Sky Swirl gave us an unparalleled surfing experience. In the 450-square-meter Happy Water Village, my little one shuttled between the slides, enjoying the fun of playing in the water. The next morning, we went to the cafe for breakfast. Outside the window, the waves of Aoshan Bay gently lapped against the reefs, playful waves and seagulls frolicked on the beach, and the bright sunshine quietly and warmly shone into the cafe and onto the table filled with various delicacies. After a delicious meal, my little one patted their round belly and said, "I'm so full." Back in the room, my little one still couldn't get enough of the hot spring bath from the previous day, so they took another bath in the private hot spring pool in the room, as happy as a little dolphin.
