Red Rock Beach

I went there in 2012. It was my first time seeing Red Stone Beach and I was amazed by its colors. From a distance, it looks like red lava washing the earth; up close, the red color seems to give life to the stone. It is so dazzling and hard to let go. You will touch it until the color fades, and then you will let go reluctantly. A little science: It turns out that the color of the stone is not caused by natural weathering, but because of the growth of a kind of algae called Jolly Orange Algae on its surface, which can grow under certain conditions. Figures 5-6 are called "Scaly Water Cypress", which is a member of the Tamarix family and an upright shrub. It is distributed in China's Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai, Gansu, Sichuan and other provinces and regions. It grows on mountain river beaches and lakeside sandy land at an altitude of 2400-4600 meters, and blooms and bears fruit from May to August.
