Qufu JW Marriott is located on Banbi Street in the center of the ancient Ming city, just a wall away from the Confucian Temple with more than 2500 years of history. The hotel draws architectural inspiration from the Kong Family Mansion and Confucian Temple, with its gray tiles, wooden carved doors, and a Chinese courtyard layout paired with a modest two-story structure, making the hotel seem like a modern extension of an ancient temple or mansion, providing guests with a cultural perspective of 'great hermits hidden in the city'. The architectural design was led by Academician Cui Kai, whose Lhasa and Suzhou railway stations are classic examples of the perfect integration of public buildings with local culture. JW's architectural design also continues this concept. The interior design was handled by Mr. Lin Fengnian, who has designed over 100 luxury hotels and is highly regarded by brands such as Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton, and Shangri-La. The 'Apricot Altar Lectures' in the lobby of Qufu JW Marriott, with sunlight slanting through the glass dome and reflecting off the silver-white apricot branches, create a visual illusion of sunlight replacing moonlight. The robust tree trunks interwoven with scriptures shine brilliantly under the light, as if Confucius' thoughts are being promoted and expanded through the long river of history. The hotel's design concept is 'benevolent people enjoy mountains, wise people enjoy waters', with the elements of the 'Six Arts' running throughout. The 'heaven is round, earth is square' welcoming water feature, the 'ink painting reflecting the moon' courtyard sculpture, and the plants and trees from the Book of Songs embellish the corners of the guest rooms, restaurants, and meeting rooms, subtly spreading the ancient city's cultural context everywhere.
