A new experience in Dubai, watch antelopes wander from the desert pool at this hotel!

Dubai's Al Wadi Desert, a Ritz-Carlton partner hotel, is about a 50-minute drive from the airport. Checking in late at night, the concierge was as enthusiastic as if he didn't need sleep, and the front desk manager, though looking tired, still introduced the hotel's various activities in detail. 🏘️Room Type/Layout: There had been comments about a strange smell in the hotel, which is actually the scent of large antelopes and gazelles that roam freely within the hotel area. The hotel's tented villas are recommended for a truly nice pool experience in the desert. Animals will come to drink from the troughs below the pool (there's a height difference, so they won't get into the pool). 🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The independent tented rooms have excellent soundproofing, and the cleanliness is on par with a five-star hotel. 🎯Entertainment Facilities: The hotel offers a rich array of activities, including stargazing, camel riding, falconry, wilderness hiking, and visiting the large antelope habitat, among others. Most of these are at an additional cost, but after trying them, you'll find them worthwhile. The hotel staff and guides are eager to impart more knowledge to guests, with enthusiasm and professionalism. 🍽️Restaurant Features/Executive Lounge: Theoretically, dining options are limited to those within the hotel. The Moroccan-style restaurant and room service were both quite good. The breakfast selection isn't very extensive, mostly Arabic-style food. The hotel has its own farm, and there's a steakhouse that serves organic food. 💗Other tips: The Indian staff member who took us to see the large antelopes said his child's name is panda, not a nickname or term of endearment, but literally translated as Wang Panda or Li Panda, Liu Panda, etc. I said that's interesting, as it's not very common in China.
