Iceland | 10-day self-driving route and travel guide on Highway 1

After going to Iceland, every time I’m asked what is my favorite country I’ve visited. From then on, Iceland always came to my mind first. We spent 11 days driving around Iceland to all the places we wanted to go. The outbound flight was transferred in Frankfurt, and the return flight was transferred in Copenhagen. This country at the end of the world and in a cold wonderland, It is a place that you will be obsessed with once you have been there and want to go again. Volcanoes, waterfalls, glaciers, deserted islands, canyons, plateaus, hot springs, tundra... There are opportunities to see the Aurora 🌏 all over the country. Every day's journey will be shocking. Aurora, whale watching, ice cave exploration, glacier hiking, volcano exploration, hot springs, Icelandic horse riding... This country where the weather can be different every 10 minutes, We saw dozens of rainbows in 10 days, it was so beautiful. The self-driving experience is great, the road conditions are good, and sometimes you can experience the beauty of four seasons in one day. 🟠7 must-visit places ▪️Reykjavik The world's highest latitude capital city has many beautiful houses of different colors. There are many designer shops and ☕️cafes, suitable for CITYWALK. Main attractions: Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral, Harpa Concert Hall, Laugavegur Main Street · ▪️Golden Circle The most classic ring road in Iceland, you must come. The main attractions are Geysir, Thingvellir National Park, and Gullfoss Waterfall · ▪️Blue Lagoon Locals call it a natural beauty salon. The milky white and light blue hot spring lake. Surrounded by tundra, with volcanoes in the distance, the hot spring pool has a great water bar. We booked the Blue Lagoon Hotel and Spa which was expensive but well worth it. · ▪️Vatnajökull National Park The world's largest ice sheet outside the polar regions is located here. We took a rubber boat to see the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon up close, it was absolutely beautiful. I suddenly thought I was in Antarctica, and I was so moved that I cried. · Not far away, next to Highway 1, is the Black Sand Beach, also known as Diamond Beach. The tiny ice cubes sparkle like diamonds and are very special. · ▪️Vic Black Sand Beach is the filming location of "Game of Thrones", with a sharp contrast between black sand and white waves. The reefs in the sea and the basalt cliffs on the seashore are all breathtaking. · There is also a popular photo spot here, which is the wreckage of a US Navy plane that made an emergency landing in 1973. There is a shuttle bus from the parking lot to the check-in point, or you can walk. · ▪️Husavik There are many species of whales, and you can take a boat out to sea to watch whales. · ▪️Lake Myvatn The atmosphere is quite different from that of the Blue Lagoon.
