Riga, An Ancient City by the Baltic Sea

The city of Riga, which is the capital of Latvia, was founded in 1201 and grew a lot until the 15th century. It is located at the mouth of the Daugava River into the Baltic Sea and is home to half of Latvia's population. I traveled from Vilnius to Riga by "lux express" bus. The trip took four hours and it was the best bus I took in Europe. You can drink unlimited tea and coffee on this bus and the ticket was about 17 in June 2023. Best places to visit: The Guild House of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, St. Peter's Church, the Freedom Monument and the Central Market. #backpacker #solotravel #riga #backpacking #timetotravel
