Pancakes with sea breeze, the day I walked in Shandong (third day photo)

In the morning my mom cooked an authentic Shandong breakfast: millet porridge, local creamy small taro, pancakes, steamed shrimp sauce with small onions (only available in spring, tender and crisp and sweet, no spicy taste at all). Even after decades of being a Guangxi native, the stomach of Shandong people will never change. Only the food from his hometown can make him feel satisfied. I went to the World Sailing Base for a walk in the morning. It was a backup venue for the 2008 Beijing Olympics sailing competition, and the 2010 Sailing and Windsurfing World Championships. The base is surrounded by the sea on three sides, with Lighthouse Square right next to it, and the harbor is neatly anchored by many ships. Visitors come to the base mainly to enjoy the scenery of Wanpingkou Scenic Area by cruise ship, and to experience riding on a real competition sailing boat. We were not interested in boating, but instead sat in the shade of the trees on the shore and watched the sailors train at sea with relish. The sea is calm and wave-free, but the wind is strong. The sailboats ride the wind very fast and dock in the blink of an eye. Sailing athletes have a really hard time, in addition to being exposed to the sun, they also have to drag the boat ashore to rinse and pack it themselves after training. The second stop was the Peach Blossom Island Scenic Area, which is only a fifteen-minute drive from the base. Before entering the main gate of the scenic spot, you can already see the blue sea. 1000 meters offshore, Peach Blossom Island is the closest island in the waters of Rizhao City. You can take a speedboat ($65 round trip) to and from the island and land, enjoy the beauty of Peach Island from the sea and feel the sea breeze. What surprised me was the white shaped Upper Water Cafe next to the car park. The restaurant has built white arch-style booths with white dining tables and chairs on the seaside. At noon, the blue and white colors are so eye-catching against the blue sky of Tiffany, which reminds people of the iconic white buildings on the Greek island of Santorini and the celebrity restaurants lined up by the seaside of Dali Er. It’s too beautiful! You don't have to go anywhere, just sit quietly and watch the sea and listen to the wind. On the other side is a hotel called Stardust Traveler, all rooms facing the sea. If you’re looking for a real ocean view room in Rizhao, come here! On the beach near the speedboat dock, there were several locals digging for mussels, like sweet potatoes. There were too many mussels. I saw that there were still a lot of people rushing to the sea on the beach next to me, so I simply drove over and parked my car, picking up the sailing tools to find seafood. This piece of beach is so close to the shore that my mom couldn’t help but pick up a small shovel and go down to the beach to try her hand. This time we finally had a harvest and dug up the mussels. I experienced the pleasure of rushing to the sea for the first time. I was so happy. Today is the 15th day of the lunar calendar, the great tide. At nine o'clock in the evening, I drove alone and came back to the midday rush to the sea, digging clams with skill. This time I even found a nest of mussels and dug up a lot of mussels!
