I recently visited the Lanshan Hot Spring Resort in Ruyuan, Shaoguan, during the post-holiday off-season, and it was an amazing experience. I stayed in a two-story villa by the lake, complete with a private hot spring pool and a wave pool. The view of the mountains and lake from the window was breathtaking, especially at sunset when the sunlight danced on the water. The hot spring center resembled Bali, with over 40 open-air pools, including medicinal baths, infinity pools, and a sky mirror, all perfect for photos. After soaking in the hot springs, I enjoyed afternoon tea at the lakeside cafe, where I could relax by the water, listen to the birds sing, and take a stroll to Xiaohuangguoshu Waterfall and the boardwalk. Transportation is super convenient, with a shuttle bus from Shaoguan Station, easily accessible by high-speed rail from Guangzhou.
