Hiking in the World Heritage Town of Vlkolínec

According to Ruzomberok's suggestion, take the bus to Trlenská dolina (about 15 minutes), and then walk (about 3.2k, about 55 minutes, gently uphill) to Vlkolínec. Vlkolínec preserves a complex of buildings built using traditional methods from the Middle Ages and was listed as a World Cultural Heritage in 1993. The whole village is not big and is still inhabited. Most of the houses have been restored. Cute little wooden houses are scattered among the mountains and forests, which are very beautiful against the surrounding natural scenery. Then hike back to Ruzomberok (about 6.3k, about 1.5 hours), first uphill and then downhill through the woods, slowly enjoying the mountain scenery along the way. #AprilGoodDestinations2025
