No matter the season, whether it's the cherry blossoms in spring, peonies in early summer, hydrangeas in summer, autumn leaves, or snowy landscapes in winter, the temple offers breathtaking beauty and a serene atmosphere that feels as if Buddha himself is smiling upon you. 🌸 The temple is particularly famous for its approximately 150 varieties and 7,000 peony plants. From mid-April to early May, the temple grounds are adorned with these vibrant flowers, often stopping visitors in their tracks as they walk along the approach. Another iconic feature is the 399-step covered staircase known as the "Noborirou." As you ascend the gently sloping stairs, you’ll find your mind naturally calming with each step. 🪷 The main hall houses the "Standing Statue of Eleven-Faced Kannon" (an Important Cultural Property), which serves as the focal point of Kannon worship and gently watches over visitors.
