The statue of Mozart and the grandeur of the Salzburg Cathedral are beautiful in themselves, but the biggest reason to visit the square is to enjoy the leisurely atmosphere of the square while feeling the cool breeze. There are also open-air restaurants around the square, so although the price is a bit burdensome, ordering a beer and enjoying the luxury is one of the pleasures of traveling in Europe. And compared to other countries, the price is not that bad.
