We bought a basic package for €12.2, which includes the castle ticket and the cable car down the mountain. It takes about 30 minutes to hike up the mountain. The scenery along the way changes from the alleys to the countryside and woods. The fortress is full of yellow flowers, which is quite beautiful. The high walls of the Salzburg Fortress are made of solid stone and are unbreakable. Inside are armories, granaries, churches, restaurants, cultural relics exhibition areas and royal bedrooms. It will take a while to take a quick look around.
