Santa Monica Pier late at night

#USATravel #LATravel 📍Location 200 Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica, CA 90401 USA “Santa Monica Pier” Santa Monica Pier is a lively place with rides, shops, and cafes. I went there around 8:30 PM, and it was a place where people were coming out one by one after having fun. On the way down to the pier, there were still shops open, and the small stalls along the beach were still open, but the restaurants and cafes were closed. On the other hand, the arcade was still crowded with people. There were people playing guitar and singing, and there were many people taking pictures in front of the lighted rides or in front of the famous Route 66 end sign. I liked that the atmosphere wasn’t scary even though it was late:) I went after the sun went down, but I think it would be better if you go around sunset. Also, even though it’s summer, it’s a bit chilly at night because it’s by the beach, so I think it would be good to dress warmly. If you take a quick look around, you can easily look around in 30 minutes. If you don't have much time, it's okay to take a quick look around at night like me, but I think between 5 and 7 PM is the best time. If you go around 8 PM, I recommend taking a quick look around and then enjoying the local atmosphere at a restaurant or pub on the beach. As a side note, there are many souvenir shops near the restaurant area, not just on the beach! I think it would be good to look around several souvenir shops. However, there are quite a few homeless people in the alleys, so I think it would be good to be careful.
