Designed by the Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, this hotel is a labor of love. A high-end resort hotel managed by Marriott International. I looked up the design inspiration for the Sanya Taikang Home Resort Hotel online and found that it was inspired by the Eastern concept of "city walls." The design concept emphasizes nature and simplicity, and incorporates the local art and culture of the Li people in Hainan. This hotel is simple yet cleverly designed, with large areas of hollowed-out and high-rise elements. You can hardly see any glass windows in the hotel, and walking around the hotel feels like being in nature. From the hotel lobby to the public areas to the rooms, the hotel's design concept perfectly integrates the natural landscape with the architecture, creating a unique visual and vacation experience through light and shadow design. The rooms are decorated with wood, rattan, and other elements that reflect the local characteristics of Hainan. The hotel also offers a wide range of wellness services for guests of all ages. As for my personal experience, the hotel is relatively new, and it is a second-line sea view hotel, not a first-line sea view hotel. I don't recommend it for those who want to see the sunrise. The nearby Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort is great for watching the sunrise. The hotel has a night ceremony every night, as well as free champagne tasting. You can make a wish or watch a performance. On Thursday's night ceremony, I heard the hotel singer sing Jeff Chang's song "I Cross Mountains and Rivers for You, but Have No Heart to See the Scenery." It was very romantic. Another thing worth mentioning is that the breakfast area is not very large, so to avoid queuing for breakfast, try to go for breakfast around 8 am, and you won't have to queue. I went for breakfast for two consecutive days and didn't have the queuing problem mentioned online, probably because it was the off-season. The pool is also nice, and there weren't many people swimming on the two days we went. It is not a heated pool. The children's pool has a seesaw and slide, with a water depth of 0.3 meters, which is very safe.
