Houhai is located very close to Sanya and is easily accessible (buses between Sanya and Houhai run frequently) from the city centre. There is a good selection of hostels in Houhai Bay that offer exceptional views of the bay and it is an excellent spot to learn to surf. You can also enjoy standup paddleboarding and snorkeling. There are multiple bars along the beach that offer seafood barbecue and coconuts. Be sure to wander around the village where you are sure to be greeted by the smiles of the friendly villagers.
