"Shikisaikan" near the west exit ticket gate of Sapporo Station is a highly recommended shop where you can buy Hokkaido souvenirs by the piece. Seasonal flavors, things you've never tried before, things you often buy in box sets but still want to try... Such desires will come true here! You can buy Hokkaido's famous sweets, souvenirs, and desserts by the piece. Souvenirs that are extremely bulky when they come in boxes can be solved by buying them individually wrapped. My personal recommendation is Wakasaimo Honpo's Anmaron. A heavy, moist, sweet sweet chestnut.
