Jeju Travels

#jeju This is the view of Seongsan, also known as the Sunrise Peak. It is a UNESCO, World Natural Heritage Site. It is more accessible by car as buses are infrequent and the timings are unreliable. Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone rose 180 meters above sea level due to a magma flow under the sea over 5,000 years ago. The crater is about 600 meters in diameter and 90 meters deep. It takes around 50 minutes for a round trip up and down the mountain. However, it requires a fee to hike. The view from the free zone is also amazing! Worth it.
