Gwanaksan Yeonjudae Yeonjuam Spring Trip

#SpringTravel If you start from Gwacheon and hike Mt. Gwanak, you can see the beautiful Yeonjudae and Yeonjuam. Yeonjudae was designated as Gyeonggi-do Monument No. 20 on July 10, 1973. It is owned by Bogwangsa Temple. Yeonjubong, the highest peak of Mt. Gwanak, has several large and small cliffs, and Yeonjudae is located on a small stone wall built on top of the steep cliffs. It is said that Uisang built it in 677 (17th year of King Munmu) during the Silla Dynasty along with the founding of Gwanaksa Temple (冠岳寺: current Yeonjuam) and named it Uisangdae (義湘臺) and practiced meditation here. It was later rebuilt in 1392 (1st year of King Taejo) during the Joseon Dynasty. Let’s definitely visit on a warm spring day. #Gwanaksan #Yeonjudae #Yeonjuam
