Wangxiangu Travel Guide

Hello everyone, today I’m sharing some accommodation and transportation tips for traveling from Sanqingshan Airport to Wangxiangu. 1. Arrival at Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport Airport Overview: Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport (IATA code: SQD) is located in Guangxin District, Shangrao City, about 10 kilometers from the city center, approximately a 20-minute drive. Flight Information: Currently, flights are mainly available from cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi’an, and Haikou. It is recommended to check flight information and book tickets in advance. 2. From the Airport to Shangrao Dashi Market Orange Hotel (Shangrao Normal University Sanqingshan Airport Branch) Transportation: Taxi: There is a designated taxi waiting area outside the airport arrival hall. A taxi ride to Shangrao Dashi Market Orange Hotel (Shangrao Normal University Sanqingshan Airport Branch) takes about 12 minutes and costs around 15 RMB. Ride-hailing: You can book ride-hailing services through platforms like Didi or Gaode Taxi. The cost is similar to a taxi. Personally, I recommend using Didi for convenience, speed, and transparent pricing. Taxi fares are less clear and you can’t bargain. Airport Shuttle: There is currently no direct airport shuttle to Shangrao Dashi Market. You would need to transfer to a bus, which takes longer and is not recommended. Hotel Check-in: Shangrao Dashi Market Orange Hotel (Shangrao Normal University Sanqingshan Airport Branch) is located at No. 66 Wusan Avenue, Xinzhou District, Shangrao City. There is a bank opposite the hotel, and nearby are milk tea shops, burger joints, a cinema, and a supermarket, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. It’s also close to the university town, where many street food stalls open at night for you to explore and enjoy delicious food. The hotel offers breakfast and afternoon tea, as well as laundry facilities including washing machines and dryers. For fitness enthusiasts, there is a treadmill and a stationary bike. The living facilities are quite good. Most importantly, the environment is nice and the price is affordable. You can book online and check in directly. 3. Traveling to Wangxiangu Transportation: Ride-hailing: From Orange Hotel (Shangrao Normal University Sanqingshan Airport Branch) to Wangxiangu takes about 1.5 hours and costs around 150 RMB. Self-driving: Renting a car and driving to Wangxiangu takes about 1.5 hours. Set your navigation to “Wangxiangu Visitor Center.” Public Transport: Take a shuttle bus from Shangrao East Bus Station to Wangxiangu. The journey takes about 2 hours, costs around 30 RMB, and has limited departures, so check the schedule in advance. Travel Tips: Tickets: Wangxiangu tickets cost about 100 RMB per person. It’s definitely best to buy tickets online for the best deal. Duration: It’s recommended to spend a full day at Wangxiangu. There is a lot of walking inside the park, so avoid wearing high heels or shoes that cause blisters. Recommended Attractions: Qingyun Plank Road, Yunu Waterfall, Wangxiantai, Glass Plank Road, etc. Dining: There are dining services inside the park, but prices are quite high. It’s better to bring your own food if possible. It’s best to stay until evening because the night view of Wangxiangu is the most beautiful and great for photos. 4. Other Notes Weather: Shangrao has a humid climate. Please check the weather forecast before traveling and bring rain gear. Safety: Pay attention to safety and follow park regulations while visiting. Environmental Protection: Please protect the environment and do not litter. 5. Sample Itinerary Day 1: Arrive at Shangrao Sanqingshan Airport -> Take a taxi to Orange Hotel (Shangrao Normal University Sanqingshan Airport Branch) and check in -> Free activities (you can explore downtown Shangrao) Day 2: If you want to leave early, you can set off after breakfast. However, if you want to see the night view, you can sleep in the morning, head there around noon, and enjoy the night view at Wangxiangu. Staying overnight at the cliffside inn in Wangxiangu is very expensive, so it’s better to return on the same day, haha.
