Shangri-La in Autumn

Driving 180 kilometers from Shuhe to Shangri-La, the journey on National Highway 214 takes five hours. The stunning scenery of the Tibetan area is breathtaking. Entering the true Yunnan-Tibet line, the autumn colors of the Tibetan area are vibrant, and the scenery along the way is incredibly beautiful. Shangri-La City, formerly known as "Zhongdian," is called "Jiantang" in Tibetan. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, People's Republic of China. Located in the "Great Triangle" area of Yunnan, Sichuan, and Tibet in the northwest of Yunnan Province, it is at the heart of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. Shangri-La means "the sun and moon in the heart" in Tibetan, and the area is predominantly Tibetan Buddhism. This time, we camped at the Songtsam Linka Hotel. The hotel environment is beautiful. In the evening, we had Tibetan cuisine in the restaurant, singing and dancing with Tibetan compatriot singers. It was very unique. The hotel is close to Songzanlin Monastery and Tiger Leaping Gorge, highly recommended.
