Shangri-La, which means "the sun and moon in the heart" in Tibetan, is the capital of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan. It is about 3,300m above sea level. The scenery in autumn and winter is gorgeous, but the temperature difference is large, so bring thick clothes. Respect Tibetan customs, and turn the prayer wheel clockwise.
