On my last stop in Shaoxing, I stepped into this place full of ancient charm and began a journey of dialogue with history in the night. Kuaijishan Ancient Town is home to the Zhejiang East Grand Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as two national-level cultural relic protection units, the Ancient Xian Road and Rongguang Bridge. Rongguang Bridge, affectionately known as the "Great Bridge" by the people of Keqiao, was built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It spans the Xiaoshao Canal and stands alongside Keqiao and Yongfeng Bridges, forming a unique "Three Bridges and Four Waters" landscape with the Grand Canal and Guanshu Zhi River. Rongguang Temple, built during the Southern Song Dynasty, has gone through the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods, laying the foundation for the prosperity of Keqiao. Unfortunately, it has been destroyed several times, but after reconstruction, it has become a public place with a strong cultural atmosphere. Xiaoshitou Street is a childhood memory for many people in Keqiao. This bluestone alley is unique, with wooden houses on both sides forming a beautiful scene of winding paths leading to secluded places. The once rough bluestone slabs have been worn smooth and shiny by countless years of trampling and washing by wind and rain. Today, the alley has been completely renovated, telling its ancient and modern stories amidst the hustle and bustle of people coming and going. The night view of Kuaijishan Ancient Town has its unique charm. The fairy-like scenery along the river is like stepping into a fairyland on earth. There are two ways to explore here: on foot or by boat. Walking along the stone path or taking a boat ride through the water wonderland, surrounded by colorful mist and listening to pure melodies, everything feels poetic. At night, Kuaijishan Ancient Town is illuminated with dazzling lights, creating a breathtaking scene. The riverside houses, bridges, and corridors are adorned with lights, creating a picturesque scene that feels like traveling back in time to an ancient water town. Walking along the stone path, you can feel the tranquility and beauty of the ancient town, which is refreshing and delightful. At night, the ancient town also has a water mist show, with riverside lights and mist creating a mysterious and ethereal beauty.
