Stay in a real Jiangnan water town! Shaoxing Dayu Kaiyuan Resort!

We visited Shaoxing during the Lunar New Year holiday and stayed at Shaoxing Dayu Kaiyuan Resort. It felt like we were staying in a real Jiangnan water town. The hotel has two phases. Phase 1 is more traditional, while Phase 2 is more modern. We stayed in a Twin Room with Balcony in Phase 2. 🅿️ The hotel has many canals, and cars can be parked in the parking lot around the lobby of Phase 2. We took a taxi to the traditional hotel entrance, and the staff arranged a shuttle bus to take us to the lobby of Phase 2. After checking in, we went to our room in the main building of Phase 2. The room was large and had a big balcony facing the river. The interior design was modern. We had stayed at a Kaiyuan Resort before, and we preferred the modern style to the traditional style. The two beds in the room were movable, so they could be combined into a double bed. The sofa area was also spacious, and it was very relaxing to sit there, drink tea, and enjoy the view from the balcony. The bathroom was dry-wet separated, and the shower and toilet were in separate rooms, which was very convenient. In addition to a comfortable stay, good food is also important. The hotel offered a wide variety of breakfast options, and the food was delicious. There were also many Shaoxing specialties, such as dried plum vegetable pancakes and Dayu rice cakes. There was also a kids' snack area with a Ferris wheel decoration, which was very cute. The hotel had beautiful scenery, especially in Phase 1, which was like a landscape painting. The views were beautiful both day and night. Compared to other places, the hotel was not crowded during the holiday, so we could take lots of photos. The hotel also offered many activities, such as taking a Wupeng boat ride, tie-dyeing, and wearing Hanfu. We didn't need to leave the hotel for two days. It was a perfect one-stop vacation.
