Anhui Tourism｜Xu Village, a Small Ancient Village, See a Different Huizhou in Ink Painting

Huangshan Xucun Ancient Buildings It is an underestimated and unpopular ancient village in southern Anhui. Xucun, which is almost non-commercialized, has Hui-style buildings and beautiful scenery, which are not inferior to Xidi and Hongcun. Xucun originated in the Eastern Han Dynasty and was called Fujili in ancient times. At the end of the Tang Dynasty, Xu Ru, the Minister of Revenue, moved here and later the village became prosperous, so it was renamed "Xu Village". Xucun is an example of traditional Chinese Feng Shui, retaining the basic form of "built by the water, double dragons playing with a pearl, and inverted water gourd". Maybe it’s because I have never seen a living environment that is in harmony with nature and the ancient cultural buildings in the village have turned life into art. This time we entered the village in the afternoon and it was exceptionally quiet. There were a few old men chatting in the sun inside Gaoyang Bridge. We walked north through the Daguan Pavilion and strolled in the village. From the aerial view, we saw the whole picture of Xu Village, which was surrounded by mountains and rivers, and was a harmonious whole between man and nature. It was truly wonderful. Daguan Pavilion is the landmark building of Xu Village. It is a pavilion with three drops of water and was built in the 16th year of Jiajing. The bottom floor of the Daguan Pavilion is octagonal in shape. It originally had a double-eaved octagonal roof, but was later changed to a hip roof. Because it is adjacent to Shengxi River in the west and Fangxi River in the east, and the two rivers meet in the south of the pavilion, the villagers call the pavilion the pearl of "Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl".
