This weekend, in She County, Huangshan, I stumbled upon a hidden gem nestled deep in the mountains—Yangchan Tulou. Stepping into this place felt like wandering into a world forgotten by time. 367 earthen buildings cascade down the mountainside, arranged in a staggered fashion, resembling a rustic rural painting. In spring, rapeseed flowers bloom wildly across the mountains; in autumn, every household displays their harvest, creating a stunning tapestry of autumnal colors with the colorful fruits and vegetables they've dried in the sun🍂. In the morning, mist and clouds swirl, and the earthen buildings appear and disappear in the sea of clouds; at night, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can look up and see a brilliant starry sky. There are few tourists here, and the commercial atmosphere is thin. Walking along the narrow mountain paths, you can only hear your own footsteps, and your heart becomes exceptionally peaceful. 📍 Address: Yangchan Tulou, She County, Huangshan 🚗 Transportation: Driving is the most convenient way to get there. Standing between the two walls, you can take in the entire Tulou cluster. Have someone stand on the steps and take a photo from above for an instant masterpiece. 2.百步云梯 (Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder): The viewing platform at the mid-mountain elementary school is the perfect location to photograph the Hundred-Step Cloud Ladder. Stand on the ladder with the earthen buildings and mountains as your backdrop, and shoot from above for a breathtaking perspective. 3.山顶亭子 (Mountaintop Pavilion): The pavilion at the top of the village offers the best panoramic view. Not only can you see the entire Tulou complex, but it's also the prime spot for watching the sunrise. Don't miss the breathtaking sunrise. 4.晒秋平台 (Sun-Drying Platform): In autumn, this is the main stage for sun-drying. With the drying crops and earthen buildings as your backdrop, every shot is a harvest masterpiece. 5.咖啡店 (Coffee Shop): Take photos through the coffee shop window, using the frame to capture the beautiful scenery of the Tulou. It's both artistic and unique. ⚠️ Travel Tips: 1. Season and Accommodation: If you visit in autumn, you can choose to stay on the mountain. On clear days, you can see stunning sunrises and sunsets. Although the living conditions are basic, the farmhouse meals are affordable and delicious. However, it's foggy on the mountain in spring and summer, so staying overnight is not recommended. 2. Visiting Time: Visit at noon when visibility is high, and the scenery is clearer. After watching the sunset, you can go down the mountain, which is both safe and enjoyable. 3. Transportation Planning: Transportation is not very convenient nearby. The bus stop is quite far, requiring a few kilometers' walk. Be sure to plan your itinerary in advance to avoid delays. 4. Clothing: The temperature difference between day and night on the mountain is significant. Remember to bring warm clothes to prevent catching a cold.
