Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden + Hongfa Temple Half-Day Tour

Last week, I visited the Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. You can buy tickets at the entrance for 15 RMB in cash. First, I went to Hongfa Temple (about a 25-30 minute walk from the entrance). Most of the path is shaded by trees, so it's not too sunny. Along the way, there is a lake area with small boats decorated with fresh flowers, perfect for taking photos. Upon reaching Hongfa Temple, the first thing you'll see is what they call a 'museum,' which is mainly a place selling high-priced items. I recommend skipping it. To reach Hongfa Temple, you need to climb stone steps. At the main entrance, staff will give each person three free eco-friendly incense sticks for offering. There are small shops selling water, snacks, windmills, and fresh flowers. Since I don't have any religious beliefs, I just appreciated it as a religious building. After that, I went straight to the Wetland Park, which has red leaves and is also great for taking photos. At the end of the path is the cactus greenhouse, which is very hot inside but slightly larger than the greenhouse in Hong Kong Park.
