Ainoshima Island

It takes about 20 minutes by boat from Shingu Fishing Port (460 yen one way) to Aishima. There are six boats a day in spring and summer, and five boats in winter between Waka and Aishima. There are not many cats in Aijima. They will rest and sleep near the pier. Because it is summer and the weather is very hot, many cats are hiding in the dark. But if someone offers snacks, they are absolutely welcome to come out and receive the snacks. Most of them are used to being very friendly with each other. Lunch at Hunfeng Canteen at noon. The set meal is simple but tastes very good. It took about 2 hours to circle the island, and although there were no cats on the mountain, we did enjoy a bit of hiking! We also had a friendly chat with the uncle who has 10 cats on the island. Thanks to him for showing us his newborn kittens!
