[Chikudo Hachiman Shrine/Tokyo] A shrine with the oldest torii gate in the ward

Chikudo Hachiman Shrine in Shinjuku, Tokyo 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 I stopped off at Kagurazaka, and walked a little way🚶♀️ to this shrine. The shrine grounds are at the top of the stone steps. The Myojin Torii gate⛩, said to be the oldest in Shinjuku Ward It was donated by Kuroda Naokuni, the lord of Shimodate Domain in Hitachi Province. The Koshin tower with two monkeys🐒🐒 is also unique😊 He is holding a peach🍑 branch✨ It is said that the shrine began during the reign of Emperor Saga (810-824), when an old man who believed in Hachiman received a prophecy in a dream and hung a shimenawa rope on a pine tree to worship him.
