Travel to Shirakawa-go, Gifu Prefecture, Japan

On May 12, 2017, Wo Fu and his mother joined the YOKOSO Japan Tour. After having a full meal in Hida Takayama, the next destination was #Shirakawa-go. Shirakawa-go was listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1995. #Gassho-ya is a special type of Japanese residential building with a thatched roof in the shape of a human figure, which looks like two hands clasped together, hence the name "Gassho". I was excited to see the Gassho-style house in person. We followed the tour guide to the Chengshan Observatory. The sky was cloudy, but fortunately it didn't rain. There is lush greenery all around along the way, so breathe in more fresh air. The Shiroyama Observatory is the best place to take photos of the rooftops of Shirakawa-go, with snow still covering the mountains in the distance. It's time to go back. There are fewer tourists in Shirakawa-go than expected. We left around 5pm and most of the shops were closed. #Overseas Travel
