It's a place I've always wanted to visit, and it's the main reason for flying to Nagoya this time. Winter, when it snows, is the season when more people visit Shirakawa-go. Although the autumn leaves were not in full bloom this time, the scenery was still very beautiful. It's worth taking a 15-minute walk up to the observation deck to see the panoramic view of Shirakawa-go. Sitting in a café, having a cup of hot coffee and a bite of cake, is very relaxing.
