🌟Shuozhou Chongfu Temple, commonly known as the "Great Temple," is located on the north side of East Street in Shuocheng District, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. It is one of the three major Liao and Jin Buddhist temples in China. It was built in the second year of the Tang Dynasty (665) by the Duke of E, Yuchi Jingde, by imperial order. The temple faces south, with five courtyards and ten halls, with a clear hierarchy, strict layout, and grand scale. The main hall of Chongfu Temple is the Amitabha Hall, which has a history of more than 800 years and is famous for its "five wonders": colored sculptures, murals, lattice windows, plaques, and glazed decorations. 🎫Ticket price: Free ⌚Opening hours: 09:00–17:00. The ancient trees in the temple, the red walls, and the green tiles all reveal the traces of time. Walking through the five courtyards, I felt as if I had traveled through time and returned to the Liao and Jin dynasties. The grandeur of the Amitabha Hall made me admire the craftsmanship of ancient craftsmen. The colored sculptures and murals in the hall are so vivid, as if they are telling a thousand-year-old story.
