PARADISE OF WAVES: SIARGAO ISLAND

Siargao, the surfing capital of the Philippines, is more than just a haven for surfers—it’s a tropical paradise filled with stunning beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, and vibrant island life. My trip to this breathtaking island was a mix of adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable moments. One of the highlights of my trip was the island-hopping tour. First stop: Naked Island, a small, white sandbar in the middle of the ocean. With no trees or structures, it was just pure white sand and crystal-clear water—a perfect place to swim and take in the beauty of the sea. Next was Daku Island, the largest of the three. We had a seafood feast under a nipa hut while enjoying the view of towering coconut trees and soft white sand. The island felt like a dream—peaceful, untouched, and picture-perfect. The last stop was Guyam Island, a tiny island with golden sand, turquoise waters, and a few palm trees. It was the perfect place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the sunset. The next adventure took me to Sugba Lagoon, a hidden paradise surrounded by lush mangroves and limestone cliffs. The emerald-green water was so clear that I could see the fish swimming below. I tried paddleboarding, kayaking, and, of course, the famous diving board jump—a must-try for thrill-seekers. During low tide, the Magpupungko Rock Pools revealed themselves—natural pools of clear, blue water surrounded by rock formations. Jumping into the pools and exploring the rock formations made me feel like a kid again. Siargao is a place that steals your heart — not just because of its natural beauty but because of its unique energy. Whether you’re chasing waves, exploring lagoons, or simply relaxing by the beach, Siargao’s charm stays with you long after you’ve left.
