Sunset Temple

#bucketlistreboot Phnom Bakheng was built by King Yasovarman at the end of the 9th century, more than two hundred years before Angkor Wat. Phnom Bakheng is located around 400 metres away from Angkor Thom, the temple is dedicated to Shiva. To reach there, you need to walk up on a winding path for around 15 minutes, you will reach the foot of the temple. At the end of the path, there are some wooden steep stairs to climb to the top. The temple was built as a temple mountain. There are seven tiers with many towers and sanctuaries to explore. The most popular reason for you to visit is to see the sunset, the view from the temple top is equally amazing.
