Phnom Bakheng, the center of the capital

In the Siem Reap area, there are three important mountains: Phnom Bakheng, Phnom Krom, and Phnom Bok. King Yasovaman I chose Phnom Bakheng, the lowest of the three, to be the center of the capital. He built a religious building on top of this mountain. He took a 800-meter walk up the mountain to watch the sunset.
