Hell's Museum

#singaporetrip A unique attraction that showcases religion — something you can’t find elsewhere in Singapore (according to my knowledge). Museum gives you an insight into the various religions highlighting our local chinese traditions (with regard to religion). There were 3 eye-catching displays that i highly recommend to tourists and those not familiar with chinese afterlife processions. But for those who are pantang/supertitious, take it as a knowledge gathering experience. Joanne, the docent, was engaging and informative. She entertained our (local and mostly kaypoh) questions with utmost professionalism and provided tasteful answers. To the management if you see this, please convey my compliments to Joanne. She is an exemplary example of service standards in Singapore. $18 for entry into the museum. Would highly recommend to go for the guided tour and go through the museum yourself thereafter. The exhibits gives further insights while the tour provides a storytelling experience. Holistically, the tour and museum would justify its price. For the skeptics, the 10 courts of hell is the same but with renewed and well-maintained environment. There is an additional exhibition area before you go to the 10 courts of hell. Having been to Haw Par Villa before its renovation, i’d say that the managing company has done a wonderful job in this renewal.
