My friend took me to National Kitchen by Violet Oon, which I visited when it first opened. The restaurant is decorated with a lot of Peranakan tiles, giving it a distinctive style. The service is completely in the style of a fine dining restaurant. 🍽️Dishes: Peranakan cuisine is named after the Peranakans, the female descendants of Chinese immigrants and native Malays. In the past, Peranakan cuisine was similar to home cooking. Here, you can enjoy many authentic Peranakan dishes. Peranakan cuisine is a Malaccan cuisine that combines Chinese and Malay cuisines, and is an authentic Singaporean delicacy. It combines traditional Chinese cooking methods with Malay spices, blending sweet, sour, spicy, and other Southeast Asian flavors. The flavors are strong, and the sauces are made with at least ten spices. It's one of the most unique and exquisite dishes in Southeast Asia, with its own style. Laksa and beef rendang are must-tries, and the desserts are also very good. The restaurant's balcony faces Marina Bay Sands, offering a great view.
