This humble yet modern hawker stall, tucked within a few coffee shops across Singapore, serves up comforting Japanese-style dishes that punch well above their weight in both quality and portion size. Their signature Japanese Hakka Noodles, the first of its kind in Singapore, was an absolute standout. The bowl featured silky, springy noodles with an addictive chew, generously topped with savory minced meat that coated every strand. It came with crispy fried ebi tempura and a golden-brown dumpling, stuffed with plump shrimp, pork, and earthy black fungus. Every bite had a satisfying mix of textures, from the crunch of the toppings to the bouncy noodles. The Buta King Don left an equally strong impression. The bowl arrived piled high with eight thick slabs of smoky, caramelized pork belly, each bite oozing rich, fatty umami. The meat was beautifully charred on the outside while remaining tender and melt-in-your-mouth inside, making it dangerously easy to devour. For the portion sizes and sheer quality, it’s almost unbelievable that their bowls are priced under $10. They even run a one-for-one promotion on selected bowls from Monday to Friday before 3 PM, making it an even better deal.
