#SingaporeHotel 👋Dear travellers, we flew all the way from the icy and snowy continent to the hot Singapore. The moment we stepped out of the airport, we were hit by a rolling heat wave. That heat immediately blew away the fatigue of the journey. We quickly took a taxi to the bustling Chinatown. We stayed at the prestigious Maxwell House Singapore, an Autograph Collection hotel. It was originally the Six Senses Metropole Hotel and was later taken over by Marriott. Next to the hotel is Chinatown, which has a rich cultural heritage and is dotted with ancient temples. The hotel itself is an old building with a history of hundreds of years. As soon as you step through the threshold, it's like entering a museum-like public area. From the front desk to the restaurant, the public space cleverly integrates the original architectural design, exuding a unique charm. The old photos, historical objects, vintage clothes displayed in the corridors, the two luxurious bars, the Indian palace-style restaurant, and the LV suitcases hanging around everywhere are all permeated with a strong sense of history. Any casual shot will be a blockbuster that will go viral on WeChat Moments. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, and coincidentally, my stay was during a public holiday in Singapore. I was so lucky that I was upgraded to a Maxwell Junior Suite. The room is furnished with handcrafted European custom furniture, with selected photographs hanging on the walls and dotted with Singapore's top museum-level collections. Although the space is not particularly large, it has everything you need. It is small but complete. As Marriott high-card and suite guests, you can enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour, all of which are ordered on a la carte basis. For breakfast, each person can order two main dishes. For HH, each person has three glasses of wine and three snacks, but the taste is more Western. The swimming pool is located on the hotel terrace. There is a long swimming pool hidden in the small garden. It is so pleasant to play in the water in the summer evening. Having said that, it does have some minor flaws, like there is no concierge at the door, you have to carry your luggage yourself, and the service awareness is a little lacking. But the flaws do not outweigh the merits. In Singapore, this is definitely a unique hotel worth experiencing. Staying in it, it feels like traveling back to the old times. It is very charming. I recommend that everyone should try it if they have the chance. 💕
