#SingaporeItinerary 📍Waterloo Street This may be the most popular place in Singapore's most artistic neighborhood. Came looking for a coffee shop and navigated to Stamford Arts Centre. In front of me is a seemingly quiet art center - like an interest class I attended during a summer vacation - but behind me is a crowded Hindu temple. This contrast attracted me immediately. Don’t rush to the coffee shop, just walk around first. I have expressed my admiration for Singapore’s diverse beauty in many of my notes. Because it is small, you can see many elements coexisting in the same picture. For example, the golden roof of the Hindu temple is adjacent to residential buildings; 20 steps further in is the bustling flower market. Auntie held a bunch of lotus flowers and asked me: Little sister, do you want to buy some flowers to worship Guanyin? On the left, the famous Guanyin Temple is very popular. Some people are worshipping from all directions, while others are queuing in long lines to enter the temple. Standing outside the crowd, you can't hear what they are saying or praying, but you can still watch the piety of the world surge in. When we walked to the Waterloo intersection, we saw a group of people holding cameras wandering around, probably a gathering of photography enthusiasts. Across the road is NAFA, the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. The iconic little yellow house stands at the entrance of the street. This used to be a church, built around 1870, called Middle Road Church.
