Walking the Mandai Boardwalk

#singaporetrip After deciding we had waited long enough for the crowds (that always follow after the opening of a new attraction) to disperse, we picked a Saturday morning to stroll along the Mandai Boardwalk, stretching 3.3 km along the edges of River Wonders and the Singapore Zoo. Thankful to be blessed with glorious weather, we were offered picturesque views across Upper Seletar Reservoir towards the Central Catchment Nature Reserve. There were engaging sights and sounds during our very enjoyable walk too, including a group of mischievous macaques trying unsuccessfully to jolt off a reticulated python 🐍 from its comfortably coiled position around the tree branches 🤦♀️ a couple of smaller macaques 🐵 getting into a brawl over some piece of plastic, as well as a monitor lizard enjoying its refreshing dip 💦
